2022 was a much calmer year for video games than anyone anticipated, despite a few blockbuster blockbusters and brilliant indies. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, creators had to contend with lockdowns, difficult working conditions, and other difficulties. As a result, some of the year’s most anticipated video games ended up being postponed and moved until 2023. But now that 2023 has here, there is much to look forward to because the year is already jam-packed with significant releases from the greatest video game studios. Let’s look at some of the video games that will be released this year.
‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ (Release date: Fall 2023)
The previous two games have been definitive PlayStation experiences, and ‘Spider-Man 2’ is unlikely to be any different. Various teasers and screenshots have revealed more about the story, confirming that Miles Morales and Peter Parker will play Spider-Man, and that Venom will play a significant role in the game.
‘Hogwarts Legacy’ (Release Date: February 10, 2023)
With trailers showing off beautiful magical lands to explore and beings to meet, it appears that this title will incorporate the best parts of the Harry Potter franchise for a completely new story set in the once-loved world.
‘Street Fighter 6’ (Release Date: June 2, 2023)
This game features a flashy new art style, a slew of hard-hitting fighters, net code improvements, and a slew of other changes. Furthermore, it will include a brand new access control scheme that should make it easier for anyone, regardless of skill level, to jump in and fight.
‘Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’ (Release Date: March 17, 2023)
It picks up five years after ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ with Cal Kestis and his little droid BD-1. Expect a slew of new characters to accompany you on your journey to survival, as well as new combat stances and Force powers to master.
‘Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’ (Release Date: May 26, 2023)
It’s a squad-based co-op game in which, unlike its DC predecessor Gotham Knights, players can freely switch between characters when playing solo; those not currently controlled by the player are AI.
