The Trainee Identification Number-TID is a unique eight-digit alphanumeric identifier assigned to each student by institutions registered under the TID network. TID serves as a centralized repository for storing all certificate credentials and proficiency levels of students throughout their academic journey. Provided by the institution registered under the TID network, it facilitates easy access and verification of certification records. A TID remains constant throughout the student’s lifetime, simplifying credential management by consolidating certifications, completed courses, and training milestones into a single, accessible record.
About Trainee Identification Number (TID)
The Consortium of Independent Institutions with e-Governance introduced TID, and the Indian Council for Technical Research and Development (ICTRD) developed it. TID stores a trainee’s certificate credentials earned through institutes registered within the TID system. Each certificate contains the TID number, and moreover, trainees receive a TID upon registration with such institutions. As the trainee progresses through their courses, the institution continually updates their certification journey on the TID. If the trainee is currently pursuing a course, the TID will reflect this status. Conversely, if the trainee has passed the course, it will display the achieved proficiency level. This data can only be edited by the providing institution, not by anyone else, including the student, thus enhancing transparency for authentication.
Who can Verify TID?
Employers, HR departments, educational institutions, schools, colleges, and universities can, therefore, swiftly verify a trainee’s qualifications with a straightforward verification process at no cost, significantly enhancing trust and credibility. Consequently, anyone with the TID number of the trainee can easily see the details of the certification.
Where to Verify TID?
To access the details of a trainee using their TID, simply visit tid.egov.ind.in. Input the TID number, and you can access all the details provided by the institution or the student. This streamlined process ensures that verifying a trainee’s credentials is both efficient and secure, fostering a culture of trust and transparency.
