Corona Pandemic has completely changed the picture of education system. In Maharashtra, university examinations were conducted online. After many controversies and getting the order of the Supreme Court, all the Non-agricultural universities of Maharashtra had to conduct online examinations immediately. Due to which many students in almost all the universities had to face great technical difficulties.
Despite this, Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Solapur University has surprised everyone by successfully conducting 100 percent online examinations. Where many universities of Maharashtra including Mumbai had to struggle even for conducting final year examinations, only Solapur University successfully conducted online examinations for all year students including final year.
Solapur University is the only university in Maharashtra to take the first and second year’s examinations through the university itself, and not passed any exam to the colleges. The worst performance in online examinations was done by Sant Gadge Baba University of Amravati, in which the conduct of online examinations came to a complete failure.
Situation was so bad that they were completing the examination through Google Form. After Amravati, Gondawana University Gadchiroli and Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University also had to face the brunt due to heavy disturbances. At the initial time in Pune University, students had to face different problems.
Mumbai University, one of the oldest universities in the country, also faced failure in the online examination. Strong opposition was also faced, after which a question mark appeared on the credibility of such an old educational institution.
But later gradually the online examinations were seen to be facilitating. The University here has also given the option of offline to the students, in which there are reports of problems to remain till the end. Here Nanded and Aurangabad Universities emphasized on more offline examinations than online, due to which less problems were faced. But here the risk of infection remained among the students.
