The Extravagant Atlantis

Dubai New Atlantis

In Dubai, there is no shortage of luxury hotels.

Atlantis is set to open in 2023. The Royal Dubai will usher in the city of gold’s next generation of “ultra-luxury” hotel stays. We got an exclusive first look inside the soon-to-be-opened mega resort, which has 795 rooms, 17 restaurants, and views of the Arabian Sea and Palm Island.

“This is it. Our moment is finally here to reveal Atlantis The Royal as the world’s most ultra-luxury entertainment resort,” Managing Director of Atlantis Dubai Tim Kelly said in a statement. “Openings of resorts like this one only come around once or twice in a decade, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Guests who book a stay in one of the Atlantis’ 44-luxury suites or signature penthouses will be treated to their very own private infinity pool, as well enjoy access to personal butler service including unpacking luggage, clothes pressing and a private resort orientation among other exclusive experiences.

A “mini pillow” menu will be available for guests to customise their sleeping experience. This one-of-a-kind amenity, which includes a cool down, memory foam for the head, memory foam for the feet, buckwheat, pregnancy, and a body pillow option, will be available only to guests in premium suites and penthouses.

Among a few of the celebrity-run restaurants will include culinary icons the likes of Peruvian-chef Gaston Acurio, Iranian-American chef and cookbook author Ariana Bundy, Executive chef founder of Estiatorio Milos Costas Spiliadis and chef and Founder of World Central Kitchen Jose Andres. Nobu is also slated to open their first pool and beach club in the new year.

The hotel — which will be connected via six towers — will also include a 295-foot long Skypool on the 22nd floor which forms part of an outdoor entertainment experience called Cloud 22. Flanked by VIP cabanas and private plunge pools, a swim up-bar and head-shaped DJ booth, the rooftop venue crowning the property will set the stage as a destination for entertainment and nightlife in its own right once it’s completed.

Adjacent to Cloud 22 on the 22nd floor, Ling Ling will serve as the resorts modern Pan-Asian concept. Featuring 360-degree views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai Skyline, guests can expect a culturally rich, multi-sensory dining and late-night party experience, according the press release.
