On November 25, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, along with Satoshi Suzuki, Ambassador of Japan to India inaugurated the Cherry Blossom Festival 2021 at Wards Lake, Shillong. The annual Cherry Blossom Festival begins in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, on Thursday, November 25 and ends on November 27.
The main objective of the Cherry blossom festival is to promote music, art, and culture. The festival not only gives a platform to talented artists across the state but also provides them the opportunity to come together to learn and share their ideas and talents.
The festival is also a platform for budding local musicians. They showcase their talents and further they can take up music as a career option.
